Design Your Own Dream Home Search
The Internet is a convenient and economical way to search for a new home through your computer. However, many websites that advertise real estate listings have unreliable or out-dated information. If you are considering moving to Las Vegas, you need the most current information about homes for sale or rent in Las Vegas. The best source for Las Vegas real estate is our local Multiple Listing System.

The public often refers
to all real estate agents as Realtors®.
However, this title only applies to members of the National Association of
Realtors®.
All licensed Nevada real estate agents are governed by
Nevada Revised
Statutes (NRS), Nevada
Administrative Code (NAC) and
Nevada Real Estate
Division (NRED). Realtors®
are
governed by the Realtor®
Pledge which incorporates our
Code of Ethics and
Standards of Practice. Las Vegas Home Team, Inc. is held to an even
higher standard: the Gold Standard.
Your residential real estate transaction involves perhaps your largest
financial investment. How it is managed could have a lasting impact, either
positive or negative. When you are deciding who will handle your real estate
transaction, here are two important questions you should ask:
1) Is your real estate agent
licensed and
in good standing?
2) Is your real estate agent a
Realtor®
in good standing?

I'd like to introduce
myself and tell you a little about me. :)
My name is Bonnie Jean Martens but everyone knows me as BJ. I'm a senior
(barely pre-baby-boomer) born and raised in Southern California. My first
career was in Social Services. I became a Realtor® in 1978 and a Broker in
1984. In 2005 my husband and I moved to Sun City Summerlin Las Vegas to
retire. However, I found out that I just couldn't not be a Realtor®. So I
became a Nevada Salesperson in 2006 and was licensed as a Nevada Broker in
2011.
Being a Realtor® is a high honor and one that I take very seriously. Guiding
young folks through the process of buying their first home without getting
in over their heads or making unwise financial decisions. Helping a
homeowner discover ways to avoid losing their home through foreclosure or
work out a loan modification to ease their financial burden. Assisting a
senior who needs to sell their home because their spouse died and they can't
afford to keep the house or perhaps they can no longer live independently.
People need real estate services and my greatest satisfaction is
successfully meeting these needs.
I also enjoy mentoring Real Estate Agents to become knowledgeable, ethical,
trustworthy professionals. My agents receive one-on-one hands-on training in
real-life situations. One of my most effective methods of training is
sharing "horror stories" that relate to our area of study. In over 33 years
as a Realtor® I've faced nearly every situation you can imagine and I've
found ways to solve them to everyone's satisfaction. Relating these
experiences helps new agents more clearly understand the intricacies of a
real estate transaction and the importance of diligence, disclosure and
communication. And my record with no complaints or lawsuits in over 33 years
as a Realtor® helps reinforce the value of ethics and honesty.
Besides my real estate activities, I'm quite involved in Sun City Summerlin
where I live, organizing community events and providing leadership for
various activities. I've served as President of the Computer Club and
Director of the Residents' Forum as well as the Properties and Election
committees. and was a candidate for the Board of Directors of Sun City
Summerlin Community Association, Inc. in 2009. My interests include
maintaining our standards, protecting our property values, staying informed
about issues that may affect our lifestyle and participating in activities
that help ensure our peace, safety and economic well-being. As a member of
the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Community Emergency
Preparedness Committee (CPC) I helped develop a program to prepare and
distribute packets of helpful information relating to personal safety and
emergency preparedness for our residents.
(Find out more about Sun City Summerlin at my website
scslvnv.com.)
Personally, I enjoy spending time with family and friends and participating
in church and community events. My grandkids live nearby, and in Sun City
Summerlin there is always something to do, join or participate in. Also, I
am a Christian, saved by grace through faith at age 26, and I enjoy sharing
my testimony and mentoring those who desire to know more about Jesus. I
attend Summerlin Community Church where I used to manage the Nursery
Department but now I serve in the Senior Ministry and volunteer where ever I
can help. I also have an online ministry called Internet Outreach Ministry
where I've been blessed to positively impact many lives.
